Alpine Meadows Condo Renovations
Project Overview
This Alpine Meadows condo underwent a comprehensive full interior gut renovation to modernize a dated 1970s layout and correct long-standing construction deficiencies. The original space felt dark, compartmentalized, and inefficient, with significant air gaps, inconsistent framing, and confusing legacy wiring.
The goal was to create a clean, cohesive mountain-modern interior that maximized light, improved flow, and brought the condo up to modern performance standards while working within the existing footprint.
Full interior demolition to studs
Reframing to correct original construction inconsistencies
Reworking wall openings to accommodate pocket doors
Complete electrical overhaul to eliminate unsafe and confusing legacy wiring
Installation of new LVP flooring throughout
New shaker-style kitchen cabinetry
Granite countertop installation
Full bathroom renovation, including new shower assembly
Ceiling refinishing and architectural beam detailing
New trim, doors, and interior finishes
Although no structural changes were required, the project involved extensive corrective framing and electrical modernization to improve the overall build quality.
Materials Used
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring throughout
Granite kitchen countertops
Shaker-style cabinetry
Modern tile shower assembly
Updated interior doors including pocket door hardware
Contemporary lighting and electrical fixtures
Materials were selected for durability, clean lines, and compatibility with a modernized alpine aesthetic.
Challenges & Solutions
The condo presented several issues typical of older mountain construction:
Significant air gaps affecting comfort and efficiency
Poor original framing alignment
Inefficient layout and door swing conflicts
Confusing and improperly routed legacy wiring
Tight access and shared-wall considerations during construction
Rather than simply updating finishes, the renovation focused on correcting underlying performance issues. Reframing and electrical rework were completed to improve long-term durability and livability. Pocket doors were integrated to reclaim usable square footage without moving walls.
Careful coordination was required to manage parking logistics and minimize disruption in a shared-wall condominium environment.
