Cancellation Policy

If we are unable to complete an estimate due to incorrect access information or inability to contact the homeowner or property manager, a $75 missed appointment fee will be assessed.

If the homeowner and/or a homeowners representative are not on site for a scheduled estimate and no prior arrangements have been made, the estimate will be deemed missed and a $75 missed appointment fee will be assessed.

Any property with unattended pets cannot be entered without prior agreement. I love animals, but like people every animal is unique and the risk of injury to us or an escaped animal is not worth the risk. If I arrive at a property with an unattended, undisclosed animal, it will be considered a late cancellation and be subject to a 50% labor cancellation fee.

Day of/emergency work can be canceled without a penalty until one hour prior to the scheduled time. Any work canceled after that will be subject to a $75 cancelation fee and a potential mileage charge if I have already departed for the worksite.

We understand that there are extenuating circumstances and no two cancelations are alike. As such, we reserve the right to decide whether a cancelation fee is applicable or not.

If a job is canceled or rescheduled for ANY reason (including permit issues) after material delivery has taken place the customer will be responsible for the cost of any non-returnable items, delivery fees, pickup fees, restocking fees, and any labor or administrative hours incurred up until the point of cancellation.

If a job is canceled for any reason with less than 7 business days' notice a 50% fee for all scheduled labor will be incurred and invoiced immediately. The only exception is if the cancellation falls into the 3 or 5-day right to cancel outlined below.

The Tahoe Tradesman LLC reserves the right to cancel the remainder of a contract at any time for any reason. All time and materials logged up to the point of cancellation will be billed and due.

Projects canceled during the contracted work due to the sale of the property, transfer of ownership, owner "change of mind", or any other reason deemed to be a non-emergency by The Tahoe Tradesman LLC will be subject to the full remainder of the scheduled labor costs and any outstanding materials costs.

Any special ordered, non-refundable materials that are ordered prior to cancellation will be the client's financial responsibility. Some special order materials are ordered up to 3-4 weeks prior to a scheduled start.

FIVE-DAY RIGHT TO CANCEL (For owners 65 and over) You, the buyer, have the right to cancel this contract within five business days. You may cancel by e-mailing, mailing, faxing, or delivering a written notice to The Tahoe Tradesman LLC at The Tahoe Tradesman LLC’s place of business by midnight of the fifth business day after you receive a signed and dated copy of the contract that includes this notice. Include your name, your address, and the date you received the signed copy of the contract and this notice. If you cancel, the contractor must return to you anything you paid within 10 days of receiving the notice of cancellation. For your part, you must make available to The Tahoe Tradesman LLC at your residence, in substantially as good condition as you received them, goods delivered to you under this contract or sale. Or, you may, if you wish, comply with The Tahoe Tradesman LLC's instructions on how to return the goods at The Tahoe Tradesman LLC’s expense and risk. If you do make the goods available to the contractor and the contractor does not pick them up within 20 days of the date of your notice of cancellation, you may keep them without any further obligation. If you fail to make the goods available to the contractor, or if you agree to return the goods to the contractor and fail to do so, then you remain liable for the performance of all obligations under the contract.

THREE-DAY RIGHT TO CANCEL
You, the buyer, have the right to cancel this contract within three business days.
